Weekly meal planning: automated system with shopping lists and reminders
What it does
Built a comprehensive meal planning system in Notion for a household with two cooks taking turns preparing meals. Created a 365-day meal plan template, store-specific shopping lists organized by aisle (Kroger, Costco, Lowes), an auto-updating weather forecast to inform meal choices, a searchable recipe database catalogued by cook, and configured morning and evening digest reminders for planning and shopping. The integrated system saves the household approximately one hour per week through automation.
Why it is worth it
Coordinating meal planning between two people requires ongoing choices about recipes, shopping trips, and timing. A system that auto-updates weather, organizes shopping by store and aisle, houses all recipes in one place, and sends reminders removes the friction of weekly planning.
